Hood River, Ore., April 15, 2025 — Come celebrate the Hood River Library Foundation’s annual Feast of Words Gala and Fundraiser on Saturday, April 26, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. With libraries located in Hood River, Cascade Locks, and Parkdale, and a bookmobile, the Hood River County Library District offers a wide range of services to everyone in the community.

Books, movies, games, and puzzles, a Library of Things, classes, kids’ activities, meeting spaces, computer and internet access, and much, much more.

The annual gala offers a fun evening of food, drink, music, exciting auction items, and raffle baskets. Mingle with friends from the community, learn more about the library, and enjoy a night out on the town.

EVENT:

Appetizers and desserts from Boda’s Kitchen, Celilo Restaurant, Dog River Coffee, Lake Taco, Pelinti Pizza, River Daze Cafe, Rosauer’s, Three Rivers Grill,
Beer from Ferment Brewing Company and wines by Peter Cushman.
Lively music performed by Funkship
Live auction hosted by auctioneer Steve King

TICKETS
Admission Tickets
$30/person adult—purchase online at www.hoodriverlibrary.org
Children under 17 accompanied by their parents receive free admission.
Activities and games will be available in the children’s library.
Golden Tickets
$60 each—purchase online at www.hoodriverlibrary.org or at the event.
Only 50 Golden Tickets will be sold. Prior to the auction, there will a drawing for Golden Ticket holders. The winner may choose any one of the available auction items as their prize.

PURPOSE – 2 Projects

Each year, the Library Foundation directs all proceeds from the gala towards specific projects requested by the Library District.

This year, the goal is to raise $50,000 to fund the following two projects:

PROJECT 1
Goal of $25,000 to purchase and implement Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) for Library Materials

PROJECT 2
Goal: $25,000 to create a new website
