The Dalles, Ore., July 18., 2024 —Delfino Hernandez, 32, works a soft mallet on Thursday, July 18, as he installed vinyl flooring at a house on Lincoln Street in The Dalles.

Hernandez and Columbia River Gorge Property Restoration owner Nick Carlstrom have been working to give the residence a complete renovation, tearing the structure down to the studs in the interior before rebuilding it entirely.

Hernandez was wisely taking advantage of the relatively cooler temperatures this morning, July 18, as the National Weather Service is calling for a high of 94 today and Friday. On Saturday, July 20 were looking to tip 103.
