Klickitat County Sheriff's Race is a "nailbiter"

Klickitat County midterm election results are still rolling in.
As of today there are 15,932 registered voters in Klickitat County, and so far the County has seen a 51.58% voter turnout. As of tonight, November 9th, 2022, 8,218 ballots have been counted and the estimated number of ballots left to count is around 2,195.
Election Highlights
The Klickitat County Sheriff’s race between candidates Bob Songer and Garique Clifford has once again proven to be a real nail-biter.
As of tonight, November 9th, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. only 17 votes separate the candidates.
Songer is in the lead with 49.94% of the vote and 4,012 votes.
While Clifford is close behind with 49.73% of the vote and 3,995 votes.
On Tuesday night, November 8th, 66 votes separated the candidates.
Clifford was in the lead with 50.3% of the vote and 3,483 votes.
And Songer was close behind with 49.35% of the vote and 3,417 votes.
On Tuesday, Sheriff candidate Garique Clifford called the election a “nailbiter” in a facebook post.
Songer has not posted on his election page since votes started being counted.
Some have commented that the midterms feels like very similar to the primaries.
In case you missed it: During the primaries, Songer and Clifford raced neck in neck until the very end when Songer took the lead by nearly 400 votes.)
However with the race as tight as it is, it is still way to close to call.
