Klickitat County Special Election: School Levies Pass, Voter Turnout at 43%

On February 14th, 2023, Klickitat County held a special election. The ballot included four school levies including Trout Lake School District # 400, White Salmon School District # 405-17 Propositions 1 and 2, and Lyle School District # 406 which all appear to have been passed by Klickitat County voters according to the unofficial results.
The last tabulated results were on February 16th, 2023 at 5:23 PM, with a voter turnout of 43.09%. The certification date for the election has been set for February 24th, 2023. There are an estimated 4 ballots left to count as of the next ballot count on February 22nd, 2023 at 5:00 PM.
The uncertified results for the school levies in Klickitat County are as follows:
In the Trout Lake School District, the levy passed with 258 votes in favor, representing 62.93% of the vote, and 152 votes against, representing 37.07% of the vote. A total of 410 votes were cast for this measure.
In the Lyle School District # 406 Proposition No. 1, the levy passed with 465 votes in favor, representing 53.45% of the vote, and 405 votes against, representing 46.55% of the vote. A total of 870 votes were cast for this measure.
In the White Salmon School District # 405-17 Proposition No. 1, which was a multi-county race. The following results include only Klickitat County: The levy passed in Klickitat County with 1,471 votes in favor, representing 62.78% of the vote, and 872 votes against, representing 37.22% of the vote. A total of 2,343 votes were cast for this measure in Klickitat County.
In the White Salmon School District # 405-17 Proposition No. 2, which is a multi-county levy. The following results include only Klickitat County: The levy passed in Klickitat County according to unofficial results, with 1,394 votes in favor, representing 63.22% of the vote, and 811 votes against, representing 36.78% of the vote. A total of 2,205 votes were cast for this measure in Klickitat County.
Overall, the special election in Klickitat County looks to mean a successful passage of school levies for all the school districts on the ballot. Despite the ongoing counting of some ballots.
