Library Newsletter highlights two new employees
From the Wasco County Library District:
The month of October saw two new additions to our staff, Cori Clark and Steven Nikodem.
You’ve probably seen Cori at the front desk. Here’s what she has to say about herself:
We moved here in 2007, I have four children, three boys and a girl. I enjoy reading and playing video games. I have a dog named Bengy who is 5 years old. I enjoy trying new things, like new hobbies and new foods. I am very outgoing and always willing to help others. I have a sarcastic sense of humor as well, I don’t take myself too seriously, life is hard enough. I enjoy stand-up comedy and classic horror films (what a combo!). We bought a house four years ago, which we are slowly but surely renovating. And if I have my way, I will be with the Library for many years to come.
Steve Nikodem is our new cataloger and will be mostly working behind the scenes. Here’s what he says about himself:
Hi, I’m Steven Nikodem. I came to The Dalles a few weeks ago from St Paul, MN where I’d worked as a media archivist, audio engineer, blacksmith; and as the librarian/tech at an elementary school. I’m really excited to start working on STEAM-related clubs and programs for the library, as well as getting involved with community events. Also, I’m an avid reader of books about design, especially the design of things I wouldn’t think to look for, and while I have a few picked out on the staff shelf I’m always looking for recommendations. See you around!
