Life's a bowl of ollies: Skate park improvements curing
The Dalles, Ore., Aug. 18, 2023 - Locals are getting a sneak peek at the skate bowl being created at The Dalles Skate Park next to the Aquatic Center on Second Street as contractors worked toward completion on this section of the expansion of the skate park, which will also include a pump track when done.
What’s a pump track?
It is a circuit of humps, banked turns and features designed to be ridden completely by "pumping" — generating momentum by up and down body movements instead of pedaling or pushing.
And it’s a riot.
