Lyle Plant Sale Ends May 9th!
French’s Farm in Lyle is celebrating the Spring season with the last weekend of their Spring plant sale on May 7th-9th from 9AM-5PM!
This local retail and wholesale nursery has some killer deals on plants starting at just $2.50 a pot for a variety of native, culinary, and ornamental plants that have been ‘grown with love.’
“This is what we love to do,” said plant guru, Matt Kotwasinski.
The sale has been held annually for several decades and this year is no exception.
“We collected a lot of the seeds for this stuff, and a few times a year it all comes together like this,” said Kotwasinski.
“We’ve got an eclectic blend. We’re so fortunate to have an abundance of native species that grow here in the gorge and we sell a collection of some of our favorite ones.”
“We also sell a collection of some of our favorite non-native plants to grow in this region, that include culinary herbs, our favorite varieties of melons, tomatoes and peppers, fun cut flowers, and ornamental plants,” said Kotwasinski.
“Our Divergent cantaloupe is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten,” said Kotwasinski “It just melts like butter in your mouth. This year we hope to grow enough to share with more than just family and friends. We might put some out for sell in the summer if we get enough.”
