MCCAC Will Be Providing Cooling Kits to Folks Through Outreach
The Dalles Aug. 14, 2023- The next few days it is going to be hot. In response, Mid-Columbia Community Action is working with partners to provide cooling resources throughout the region. Attached is a list of locations where folks can go if they need to stay cool. MCCAC will also be providing cooling kits to folks through outreach in addition to making them available at our offices between 9 a.m.-12 noon and 1 p.m.-5 p.m.
In preparation for the upcoming heat wave, MCCAC’s outreach team and community partners will be providing cooling bundles and local libraries will be providing a welcoming space to drop in and cool off.
-Cooling Bundles-
What: Cooling bundled contain water, Gatorade, snacks, hand-held fan, sunscreen, and lip balm
When: Mon. Aug. 14- Wed. Aug-16 9 a.m.-noon and 1-5 p.m.
