The next few days it is going to be hot. In response, Mid-Columbia Community Action is working with partners to provide cooling resources throughout the region. Attached is a list of locations where folks can go if they need to stay cool.

The Dalles Skate Park to begin filling the skate bowl for the construction project that has been going on for the past few months.

The City of The Dalles Public Works Department will be painting the center and side lines on several streets throughout the community on Monday, August 14 through Thursday, August 17, 2023, beginning at 6:00 am each day, weather permitting.

We are in a drought here in The Dalles, with barely four inches of rain since the beginning of this year, a lot of high temps, and desiccating wind. Many of our residential trees are in trouble and may slowly die without extra water this summer.
