Update: Man hit on Fourth and Washington treated and released

The man injured on Monday, Sept. 28 at the intersection of Fourth and Washington Streets in a 2-car collision was treated and released at Mid-Columbia Medical Center. He is soar but recovering, according to his family.

He was taken to the hospital after the collision occurred intersection of Fourth and Washington streets at about 12:30 p.m., Monday, Sept. 28.

A classic Mustang was traveling west on Fourth Street across the intersection when it was t-boned by a Dodge Dart that was headed north on Washington Street. Police and firefighters responded to the scene and the driver of the mustang was taken by ambulance.

Nathan Haworth who works on the corner said he heard the crash and went to his front window and saw a hat in the street. “I knew something was wrong,” he said. He and his father Nick spoke to the occupants of both vehicles. They said they were bruised but likely not critically injured. The Haworths said accidents occur at the intersection often. The two offered up office chairs for the people in the accidents while police and firefighters worked on the scene.
