The Dalles, Ore., July 24, 2025 — The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce invites all residents of Wasco County and the neighboring communities to help shine a spotlight on the individuals and businesses that make our region extraordinary by submitting nominations for the 2025 Distinguished Citizens Awards.

Each year, the Chamber honors outstanding community members at its annual awards banquet, taking place this year on September 11, 2025 at the Fort Dalles Readiness Center. The event’s theme, A Night to Remember: Honoring Heroes, Celebrating Community, reflects the powerful impact of those who serve, lead, and inspire in The Dalles area.

Now is the time to nominate someone you believe deserves to be recognized. Whether it’s a business showing outstanding innovation, a youth volunteer leading with passion, or a first responder going above and beyond, your nominations help tell the stories of community pride and resilience.

Nominations are open to all residents of Wasco County and the neighboring communities and must be submitted by Friday, August 8, 2025, at 4:00 PM. The nomination form is available at www.TheDallesChamber.com or by visiting the Chamber office at 404 West 2nd Street.

To preserve the excitement of the evening, award recipients will be announced as a surprise during the banquet. Nominators will be contacted privately, and confidentiality is encouraged.
