Nov. 5 Election Results: Dufur, Mosier Maupin, Antelope, Shaniko

Several towns in Wasco County held city council elections today, Nov. 5. Here are all the results from Shaniko to Mosier, according to the initial Wasco county election results released at 8 p.m. this evening.
Dufur
Conner Reed won his contest against Merle Keys and Michael Austin in his bid for Dufur Mayor. He received 230 votes. Keys received 90 votes and Austin, 31 votes.
Brandon Welk defeated Josiah Dean in his run for Dufur City Council Seat # 1. Welk received 184 votes to Dean’s 126.
William Parke defeated Tony Gonzalez in the run for Dufur City Council Seat # 5. Parke received 228 votes to Gonzalez’s 78.
Steve Podvent ran unopposed for Dufur Council Seat # 3, and he received 246 votes.
Maupin
Carol Beatty ran unopposed for Maupin Mayor and received 151 votes.
Five candidates ran for three seats on the Maupin City Council.
Madeline Rhoades, Tom Troutman and Matthias Kesler won election.
Troutman received 22.14 percent with 145 votes.
Rhoades received 21.83 percent with 143 votes.
Kessler received 21.68 percent with 142 votes.
Kathy Peck received 118 votes and Rob Miles received 99.
Mosier
There were no contested races for City Council
Witt Anderson was elected Mosier Mayor, Ron Wright, Councilor Position 5, Brenna Campbell, Councilor Position 6, and no one filed for Councilor Position 2.
Shaniko
Pam Brown and Sandra Thomas won their bids for the Shaniko City Council against competitors Mark Haskett and Sandy Cereghino
Antelope
Carol Raymond won her bid for Mayor in her race against Julianne Herman. Raymond received 11 votes to Herman’s 10.
Scott Horrocks, and Patrick Raymond who both ran unopposed for Antelope City Council won their seats.
Elizabeth Samul defeated Julie Davis for Antelope City Council Seat #4. The vote was 14 to 8.
