Several towns in Wasco County held city council elections today, Nov. 5. Here are all the results from Shaniko to Mosier, according to the initial Wasco county election results released at 8 p.m. this evening.
Incumbents do well in Wasco County Elections. Bond measure not so as Columbia Gorge Community College and the White River Health District suffer bond measure defeats.
The Dalles Lions had a brisk business this morning as dozens of vehicles rolled through the ballot drop-off site next to the Wasco County Courthouse.

Ballots are trickling into the Wasco County Courthouse after being delivered mostly on Saturday, Oct. 19.
Tom Springs of The Dalles braved the cold weather on his motorcycle this morning to hand off his ballot at The Wasco County Courthouse. It is Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3. You have until 8 p.m. to get those ballots dropped. Of the 18,211, ballots sent out, 12,958 had been returned as of this morning, according to Wasco County Clerk Lisa Gambee. That is 71 percent.
Election ballots in Wasco County should be hand-delivered to dropboxes. The last day to mail them was Tuesday, Oct. 27, according to the Wasco County Election website.
