Traffic Alert: NW Natural Pipe Installation in White Salmon and Bingen
Northwest Natural, natural gas service, will be installing 1.5 miles of 8 inch pipes from Bingen to White Salmon, Washington. NW natural said the project was being undertaken “To ensure consistent service to our valued customers and meet future growth in the area.” Traffic between Bingen and White Salmon will be impacted by the project Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The project is scheduled to take place throughout August and into October of 2021.
Flaggers will direct traffic during working hours but commuters should plan for longer wait times.
Phase 1 began August 2nd at Ash Street & W. Humboldt Street in Bingen to the intersection of E. Jewett Blvd (WA 141) and Dock Grade Road in White Salmon.
Phase 2, was slated to start in mid-September, and will undertake the section between the intersection of E. Jewett Blvd and Dock Grade Road to the intersection of NE Tohomish Street and N. Main Avenue in White Salmon.
NW Natural thanked the community for their patience and asked that drivers please proceed with caution in the area during construction times and observe all temporary traffic control devices.
