WaFd bank construction in TD looks to be moving forward
Movement is afoot on the construction of a new Washington Federal Bank on West Sixth Street as the contractor has moved in and fenced the property before demolition.
Miraculous transformation? WaFd Bank intends to build on West 6th in TD
Michael Wannick submitted the application for the single-story bank with a drive-through and parking at 1014 W. Sixth Street, across the street from the Barbecue Restaurant earlier this month. The application is pending for comment and final decision.

Framers with RBR Construction were working on mixed-use buildings this morning, Jan. 27, that will provide commercial space on the first floor and residential living on the second floor in the Port of The Dalles. The construction has been underway since summer and crews are moving fast to bring the project to fruition.
Detour Ahead: Section of 10th Street Closes Oct. 4th for Fire Hydrant Repair
Beginning October 4, 2021, the City of The Dalles Public Works Department will replace a damaged fire hydrant and fire hydrant valve at the intersection of E 10 th St. and Laughlin St. The work is expected to be completed in three days.
Traffic Alert: NW Natural Pipe Installation in White Salmon and Bingen
Northwest Natural, natural gas service, will be installing 1.5 miles of 8 inch pipes from Bingen to White Salmon, Washington. The project is scheduled to take place throughout August and into October of 2021.
