Father-Son Team Rolling on Fourth Street

Fixing up the neighborhood - Hector Valdez and Rober Salcido of Isaac Painting give the porch ceiling a new coat on Thursday morning, Aug. 5th. The father-son team really got after it, giving the body of the building an entire coat during the day. Useful tools such as an airless sprayer on a wand - used by Salcido on the right make quick work of it.

The house at 100 W. Fourth Street, The Dalles is one of many getting spruced up in town as locals are seeing a worthwhile investment in property as values continue to rise. This classic colonial home built before the turn of the century features some really cool cut basalt for a foundation and an awesome porch. That porch seems like a perfect place for a band to play. Rumor has it that some Fourth Street folks are talking about having several bands play in what is being called a Porch Fest this fall. Hmm… we’ll have to see.
