Armando Gonzalez works on clipping young pear branches to guide wires off Dry Hollow Road this morning, Thursday, Sept. 24. He was spreading out and anchoring the branches so that they grow with a broad symmetry making them easier to pick and creating spacing between fruit bunches. Forecasters are calling for temperatures in 70’s today with a slight chance of rain. On Friday, there is a 70 percent chance of precipitation. Partly cloudy weather is to come on the weekend with temps going into the 80s next week.
