The Dalles, Ore., Aug. 15, 2023 - Earlier this morning at Sorosis Park, Jake and Emily were sighted with their motorcycles enjoying the weather before the heat hit later in the day.

“The way we plan to beat the heat is drinking water, and driving faster. It’s a two-hour drive home, so we should be out of it before it gets bad,” Emily said.

While both were riding out in The Dalles for recreation, Emily said she was on business in the gorge, and Jake was along for longer trip.

“She’s out here all the time, but it’s my first time,” Jake said.

The two might not be beating the heat, but let’s hope they can at least outrun it.
