Pontiacs on the Columbia Car Show Returns to The Dalles this Weekend

The Dalles, Ore., May 21, 2026 — From classic GTOs to rare Firebirds and vintage Catalinas, Pontiac enthusiasts from across the West are expected to gather in The Dalles this weekend for the annual Pontiacs on the Columbia car show.

The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, May 23, at Riverfront Park along the Columbia River. Organizers describe it as the only Regional GTOAA-sanctioned Pontiac meet west of the Mississippi River, drawing collectors and enthusiasts from multiple states.

The all-Pontiac show will feature 24 vehicle classes, with first- and second-place awards presented in each category. Additional awards will recognize Best Modified for Competition, Best Project Car, Long Distance, Club Participation, and Best in Show.

Participants will have their vehicles inspected through a technical check process and photographed before entering the show field. Early registration will be available on Friday at the host hotel, and free trailer parking will be offered at the Columbia River Hotel. A vehicle wash station will also be available near the trailer parking area.

In addition to the vehicles, the event will include music provided by a DJ and food from Manny’s Lonchera, a Mexican food truck that will be stationed at the park throughout the day.

Registration costs $35 in advance or $40 on the day of the show.

Riverfront Park is located along the Columbia River just off Interstate 84 in The Dalles. Spectators are invited to attend and view a wide variety of Pontiac vehicles ranging from restored classics to competition-modified cars.
