The Dalles, Ore., March 9, 2026 — Providence Hospice of the Gorge is offering a series of free, professionally facilitated grief support groups this year for adults coping with the death of a loved one, including a new group forming in The Dalles this spring.
The organization’s grief support program is designed to provide a safe space where participants can connect with others experiencing loss, share their experiences, and find support while navigating the grieving process.
A new in-person support group is now forming in The Dalles and is scheduled to run on Mondays from April through July 2026. The eight-session group will focus on helping participants process grief following the death of an important person in their lives.
Providence Hospice of the Gorge also continues to host grief support groups across the region, including Hood River and White Salmon.
In addition to traditional support meetings, the organization is enrolling participants for its seasonal Outdoor Walking with Grief group. The program encourages participants to explore grief in nature through gentle movement and mindfulness while connecting with others who are also coping with loss.
An evening grief support group currently meeting in Hood River remains open through March for those seeking immediate support.
Registration is required for all grief support groups. Participants can call Providence Hospice of the Gorge at 541-387-6449 to learn about current group availability, upcoming sessions or to be added to a waitlist for a specific location.
