Public Notice for 6th St Paving on Sept. 29, 2025

The Dalles, Ore., Sept. 23, 2025 — Starting Monday, September 29th, paving will start on W 6th St with an estimated duration of 3-4 days. Paving will start on the corner of Hostetler against the newly placed curb and gutter and run the length of the project. Due to the application rate and temperature of the asphalt access to businesses will be affected for roughly 2-4 hours once the material is placed on W. 6th St.
Many businesses also have aprons behind the new sidewalk that will require placement of asphalt as well, which will be paved once the main body of paving is completed.
On Tuesday, September 30th, the intersection of Pomona and W 6th Street will be fully closed to through traffic from 7:00 a.m. to 6 p.m., allowing for final grading and paving. Please plan on using W 7th St to access any homes or businesses between W 7th and 6th St. on Pomona.
Crestline Construction recommends motorists use alternate routes, obey site traffic control, and be aware of the increased construction equipment and activity throughout the duration of the project. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we construct these City of The Dalles Improvements.

Monday: Road paving from Hostetler to Pomona
Entrance Paving: Both Spooky’s entrances are closed and paved, and the Bi-Mart north entrance is closed for paving
Tuesday: Road Paving Pomona to Snipes
Entrances Paving: South Bi-Mart entrance paved, Trailer Lot
Wednesday: Road Paving Snipes to the Entrance to Coastal
Entrance Paving: North Astros entrance
Thursday: Road Paving top lift Entrance to Coastal to Snipes:
Entrance Paving: John L Scott, Franz Bakery, South Astros entrance
