Rivera's Bilingual Preschool Opens New Location in Downtown The Dalles

The Dalles, Ore. March 27, 2024 – Rivera's Bilingual Preschool and Childcare unveiled its much-anticipated new location at 1000 W 6th St, The Dalles in a festive ribbon-cutting ceremony orchestrated by the The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, March 26th.

Nearly twenty-five people attended the event showing the community's growing interest and support for bilingual preschool education.
The event saw notable attendees, including Ana Rivera, the heart and soul behind the preschool, and Lisa Farquharson, the CEO of the Chamber.
The move from being a home-based preschool to the second center location will allow Rivera’s to offer three preschool classrooms and an afterschool program.
Rivera, who has worked in early childhood education for over 14 years, said she is excited to be able to expand her services and continue supporting families seeking a preschool that offers outdoor play, research-based cognitive and social-emotional curriculum, and bilingual Spanish and English immersion instruction.
“This is my passion. I love teaching, that's why we moved to this new building” Rivera said.
After the ribbon was cut, symbolizing a new era for the preschool, attendees were invited to leave their mark by signing the ribbon, a gesture that underscored the support for Rivera's mission.
The gathering reflected the warm, family-like atmosphere that Rivera's Preschool is renowned for and amidst the event, a table laden with exquisite desserts—crafted by the preschool's own staff—stood out, offering a sweet note to the day's festivities.
