Sandovals rockin' Honey Do; Land October Beautification Award in TD
The Dalles Beautification & Tree Committee has awarded the October Beautification Award to Tasha & Guillermo Sandoval of 973 Honey Do Street.
The couple and their family have worked diligently during the past 14 years to bring this incredible and ornate yard to fruition.
Tasha said she was inspired by her father and Guillermo had a great teacher in his grandfather in creating a perfect landscape.
The family gathers in the backyard on weekends in the serene and meticulous beauty.
Tasha said her son had a lawn mowing business and it appears the influence has rubbed off on him.
“He will go over a lawn twice to make it perfect,” she said.
When asked to describe their garden, the Sandovals wrote:
“The Sandovals moved into their home 14 years ago and started with gravel and dirt. Since then they have created a beautiful landscape over the years by adding over 30 ornamental trees, various plants, lawn, edging, fences, gardens, fruit trees, an outdoor theater, and more. Tasha & Guillermo have been inspired from generations down, and have passed the inspiration to their children Julian & Chanel who now can trim and form decorative trees, and help maintain the yard all year long. They have taught their children how satisfying gardening can be by growing your own food, and how much joy it brings to make you happy and stress-free.”
