Funtabulous: First Friday Downtown TD Springs into action tonight, April 7 at 5 p.m.

Downtown The Dalles will be bubbling with beverages, flowers, and fun tonight as Downtown The Dalles kicks off its First Friday season with an ode to Spring.

Morning Showers are expected to give way to temperatures in the 60s this afternoon, making for great conditions to go sidewalk cruising and boutique beverage consuming.

Festivities begin about 5 p.m. as dozens of businesses will be welcoming locals who are up for some sidewalk surfing and checking out the live action.

Alyssa Schroppel holds one of the golden eggs that will be placed around The Workshop for First Friday, tonight, April 7.

Alyssa Schroppel at The Workshop said they will be hiding Easter eggs about the store that will contain discounts and special deals. In addition, Rose is $5. And all in-house crafts will be buy-one-get-one 50% off.

Amanda Beaver, Wasbi and Chrissy Lennon show off their Easter spirit at Sigman’s Flowers on Friday morning, April 7th. The first 30 customers through the door will receive a marbled egg seen below in the bunny basket.

Just down the street, Wasabi was buzzin’ at Sigman’s Flowers where they will be handing out marbled eggs to the first 30 people through the door. The white Bijon was keeping Claudia Leash company as she put some cute touches on Easter bouquets.

Per Diem Thrifts, down in the basement of Studio Fit will be unveiling new inventory and Studio Fit is offering a 10% discount.

You might also want to stop by The Bar behind Kainos for an Empress Gin with edible glitter. Just saying.

If that does not stir your soul, try the pistachio almond handcrafted ice cream at Shannon’s Ice Cream and then get a free Swell Gelato for your dog. Mans best friend, Ice Cream!

Jason Lincoln mans the taps at Freebridge this morning in preparation for First Friday. The venue will feature two artists tonight for First Friday. Also, try their new SLAP & PICKLE. It is a Dill Pickle Gose that brought home Gold at this year’s Best of Craft Beer Awards. They finally struck gold for the former US Mint.

Or head up to Freebridge Brewing where Wes Berthold of Mosier will have his chainsaw art on display.
