Second child pornography arrest made in Klickitat County
The Dalles, Ore., Oct. 21, 2026 — A 26-year-old Wishram man faces four felony counts after investigators seized electronic evidence during an August search, marking the second arrest in a Klickitat County child sexual abuse material investigation within a 17-day window.
The Klickitat County Sheriff’s Office said Damon Lee Gray was arrested Oct. 7 following an investigation led by Detective Kirstin Leroue. Deputies executed a search warrant Aug. 26 at a Wishram residence and later recovered images of children engaged in sexual conduct from an electronic device seized during the search.
Deputy Chance Leroue arrested Gray and booked him into the Klickitat County Department of Corrections, according to the Sheriff’s Office. His bail was set at $125,000.
Second Search Warrant Served in September
The arrest follows a separate investigation announced by the Sheriff’s Office back on Sept. 22. In that case, deputies executed a search warrant the previous week near the 1300 block of Southwest Pucker Huddle Road in White Salmon as part of an Internet Crimes Against Children investigation.
Deputy Will Sauter arrested 31-year-old Kaleo Connolly on suspicion of possessing child pornography, the agency said.
The Sheriff’s Office has not announced any connection between the two cases.
In its Sept. 22 release, the agency said Detective Sgt. Tony Warren has been leading efforts to develop the department’s ability to investigate internet crimes involving the sexual exploitation of children. Warren has connected the Sheriff’s Office with other agencies and helped secure the tools and training needed to investigate such cases.
The agency described child sexual abuse material investigations as among the most challenging cases for law enforcement, requiring specialized training, extensive digital evidence analysis, coordination with other agencies and significant investigative time.
“Protecting children and identifying those who exploit them remains an important public-safety responsibility,” the Sheriff’s Office said in its September release.
The agency said it would not provide further updates on the Connolly investigation. It has not provided additional details about the evidence in Gray’s case or identified the specific statutes underlying his four felony counts.
Both men are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
