Seven TDHS Students Selected for 4A All-State Softball

The Dalles, Ore., October 16, 2023 — Seven students from THe Dalles High School have been selected for the 2023 4A All-State Softball Championship 1st and 2nd teams. All-state teams are put together based on nominations from coaches.

“It is a big day for Riverhawks Softball! The 4A All-State Softball team has been released, and seven of our girls were selected for 1st or 2nd team! Congratulations ladies on the final piece of your State Championship season!,” wrote Billy Brost, TDHS Athletic Director in a post on facebook today.

The seven TDHS students who have been selected for the 4A All-State Softball teams are:

Kennedy Abbas, Pitcher - 1st Team
Madelynn Sagapouletele, Outfield - 1st Team
Zoe Lebreton, Infield - 1st Team
Jeilane Stewart, Catcher - 1st Team
Keiliani Crichton-Tunai, Infield - 2nd Team
Kaleyah Crichton-Tunai, Outfield - 2nd Team
Despina Seufalemua, Offensive Player Utility - 1st Team

In addition to team selections several other recognitions have been awarded to students and coaches: Kennedy Abbas, earned the 2023 4A Softball Pitcher of the Year award. Madelynn Sagapouletele received the the 2023 4A Softball Player of the Year award. And the 4A Softball Co-Coach of the Year award went to Lindy Macnab!
