Shannon’s Trivia Winner: The mighty Quinn wasn’t playing around

The Dalles, Ore., June 17, 2024 — Many locals came out to play with the latest trivia question.
We asked in what year was the Tree Top Play Park dedicated at Sorosis Park in The Dalles.
We got dozens of responses and a total of eight that were correct. Each name was entered, and we put them in a dish.

One! - Elizabeth Quinn is this week's winner.
“What a wonderful community collaboration it was!” said Elizabeth in her email. “Built in five days with 1000 volunteers. And at least 1000 more gave money and helped decorate the park.”

Quinn was in the good company of local Park intellects.
She was joined by fellow correct responders Bob Thouvenel, Denise Ellis, Andrew Wylde, Seth Witherow, Jeff Davis, Ruthie Wilson and Eric Daveno.
“I believe 1997 …, “ Eric wrote. “My daughter’s plaque, she painted in school was part of the play structure. I recently moved back and looked for it but decided to wait, kind of odd to see a 60-something on a play structure with no children of his own with him! Lol.”
