Sip, Stroke, and Socialize: Paint Nite Brings Creativity to Last Stop Saloon

By Joshuah Albert
Feb. 6, 2025 – On Feb. 5, The Dalles' Last Stop Saloon transformed into an artistic haven as it hosted "Paint Nite," led by local artist Denae' Manion.

Participants, many of whom were new to painting, gathered to create their own renditions of a mystic river scene.

Manion, a seasoned muralist and recipient of the Paint Nite Golden Brush award, guided attendees through the process of mixing paints and mastering brush techniques. By the end of the evening, each participant had completed a vibrant painting, showcasing their newfound skills.

"It's an extremely fun experience for both first-time painters and long-time artists. Great for a friends' night out," remarked a previous Paint Nite guest.

Manion's dedication to community art initiatives has made her a beloved figure in The Dalles. Through events like Paint Nite, she continues to inspire residents to explore their creative sides.
