Soroptimist Hood River seeking Women of Distinction nominations

Hood River, March 18, 2024 — Soroptimist International of Hood River is thrilled to announce the opening of nominations for the 2024 "Women of Distinction" Awards. These awards aim to recognize remarkable women who have significantly contributed to the betterment of Hood River County or have positively impacted the lives of local women and girls through their professional or volunteer endeavors.
Heather Howard, president of Soroptimist Hood River, emphasized the importance of acknowledging the outstanding contributions of women in the community, stating, "Soroptimist Hood River has been recognizing strong, capable women in our county almost every year since 1974. We all benefit from the work of these outstanding citizens and invite the community’s help in making sure they are recognized. Please tell us about that woman in your midst."
Nomination forms, guidelines, and a list of recent past winners are available online at SoroptimistHoodRiver.org. The submission deadline is April 8th. Winners and their nominators will be notified, and their names will be announced to the public in mid-April. The honorees will be celebrated at an awards ceremony on Wednesday, May 8th, at 7:00 p.m. at Riverside Community Church’s Riverview Room.
