Splatter Enterprises: Muddy Buddies wingin’ & flingin’ on Kelly Ave.

The Dalles, Ore. , May 27, 2025 — Kids would pay to do this for free.

Perhaps that’s why Jesus Sosa, 56, and Saul Guzman, 45, both of The Dalles were all smiles this morning as Sosa loaded his trowel with the wet concrete and threw it at this block wall on Kelly Avenue like he was skipping rocks at the beach.

Guzman was happy to work Sosa’s Pollock-Style masterpiece into a nice mosaic as they worked down the sidewalk in the shade of another gorgeous day here in the Gorge.

This wall along the home on Kelly Ave. is long and massive. Sosa and Guzman had their work cut out for them. They have patched the major holes and working toward refacing the entire surface. Serious work.

They are brightening up the block, giving the old wall a fresh look. Sosa even invited me to church just up the street after a quiz that left me saying ‘I don’t know” about four times.

Here’s a something I do know. It’s freakin’ beautiful out.
