Sunny with 100% chance of fun at Aquatic Center Opening this weekend
Supervisor Skyler Coburn was preparing for Northern Wasco County Parks and Rec. Aquatic Center opening on Thursday, May 22. Coburn said the pool opens to the public on Saturday at 1 p.m.
The Dalles, Ore., May 22, 2025 — The weather gods are smiling on The Dalles this Memorial Day weekend as calls for temps in the 80s and lots of sun come as the Northern Wasco County Parks and Recreation opens the pool at the Aquatic Center, 602 W. 2nd Street.
Open swim is from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Both Saturday and Sunday.
Bring your shades.
And jump in to that 25 meters of heated splendor.
The National Weather service is predicting lots of sun with a high of 82 on Saturday, May 24 and a high of 83 on Sunday, May 25.
2025 Active Rx Announcement
Northern Wasco County Parks and Recreation District has received grant funding through the Columbia Gorge Health Council to fund the ActiveRx Program, which provides free swimming privileges.
If you reside within the District boundaries and receive benefits through OHP, SNAP, or WIC, you are eligible to participate in the ActiveRx Program. For the 2025 season, we have 300 family pool season passes and 150 swim lesson scholarships available.
