Support Local 4-H and FFA Youth at the 2025 Wasco County Fair Livestock Auction

The Dalles, Ore., July 24, 2025 — The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce is once again rallying the community to support youth agriculture by organizing a Chamber Pool for the upcoming Wasco County Fair Youth Livestock Auction.

This beloved tradition brings together individuals and businesses to donate what they can, whether $25 or $250, to collectively support hardworking 4-H and FFA youth who have dedicated countless hours to raising and preparing livestock for auction.

“These young agriculturalists are learning business principles, budgeting, marketing, and time management— skills that shape tomorrow’s leaders,” said Lisa Farquharson, President/CEO of The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce. “The Chamber Pool is our way of making sure every community member has the chance to invest in their success.”

Date: Saturday, August 16, 2025

Time: 3:00 PM

Location: Jack Alsup Arena, Wasco County Fairgrounds, Tygh Valley, Oregon

How to Contribute to the Chamber Pool:

Donations must be received by Wednesday, August 13 at NOON!!

• Payment: checks, credit cards, & cash.

“Every contribution—big or small—makes an impact. Together, we can raise prices, boost recognition for our youth, and even purchase champion animals to show our community’s support,” added Farquharson.
