Sweep for sex offenders in The Dalles finds nobody home

Sweep for sex offenders in The Dalles finds nobody home

The Dalles, Ore., Oct. 23, 2024 — Oregon State Police is requesting arrest warrants for three convicted sex offenders in The Dalles after a sweep found three of four were no longer living at their last registered address on Tuesday, Oct. 22.

OSP. Lt. Jason Calloway said his office does the sweep minimally once a year as sex offenders fall out of compliance with registering with OSP.

On Tuesday, troopers found that three offenders were out of compliance for failing to either update their registry or report their change of address. OSP made reports to the Wasco County District Attorney’s office requesting arrest warrants for the following three men:

  • Antonio Jennings, 28, The Dalles, who was convicted of first-degree sex abuse, failed to report his change of address, according to the report.

  • Scott R. Dunoven, 60, The Dalles, who was convicted of second-degree sex abuse, failed to complete his annual sex offender registration and was no longer residing at his last address.

  • Waylon Willie Looney, 38, The Dalles, who was convicted of first-degree sex abuse, failed to report his change of address.

“Unfortunately we did not locate most of them,” he said, noting they either moved out of the area or were just trying to avoid contact with OSP.

“We are out looking for these people…,” he said.
