Judge denies dismissal in former Haven Director theft case; trial on track for Oct. 15
The decision moves along the case against the former Haven Director who faces trial for allegedly stealing over $96,000 from the shelter for domestic and sexual violence.
She is set to go to trial on Oct. 15.
Locals look forward to better lives after felony records removed
In an Oregon first, District Attorney Matthew Ellis used Senate Bill 819 on Thursday, Jan 6, in Wasco County Circuit Court. He requested and received a vacation of multiple felony convictions for five locals who have atoned for their drug and or property crimes. Circuit Judge Janet Stauffer called it “one of the most important” dockets she ever had.
