D21 Chief Financial Officer Kara Flath has been working collaboratively with the Wasco County Tax Assessor’s office over the last several months to ensure estimated tax numbers related to the potential bond coincide with the most recent tax assessments. These numbers will help the district better understand, and subsequently respond, to concerns regarding the bond cost when it comes to individual impacts.
Riverhawks ran, jumped and vaulted at districts in Prineville on Friday and Saturday, May 13 & !4, to punch their tickets to the state championship for Track and Field at Eugene’s famed Hayward Field on May 19-21. The Dalles High School Drama Department’s spring musical “Spin: A Musical Myth” has two final showings on Thursday and Friday, April 28th and 29th. “Spin” is a musical retelling of the myth of Arachne and Athena set to a rock, jazz, and folk score.
“Diego said it’s a good day for a run,” as he dashed past me on his cool-down, flashing a thumbs up. In typical understatement, the freshmen meant it was a perfect day to try to beat The Dalles’ 5k school record: 15 minutes and 35 seconds. Of 24 TDHS runners, 14 finished with season bests, and 10 with their all-time personal record.
