Detail Guy - Michael Held, 40, of The Dalles was like Klaus Meine of the Scorpions on Saturday night at the Bargeway Pub going 25 for 25 in an all-out blackout on his BINGO card at the Bow Wow Bingo and Brews fundraiser. The first-time event headed up by the board at the Home At Last animal shelter saw a great crowd as additional chairs and tables were called for as the room swelled to over 60 people.
Ruff, Ruff, Bingo, Bango, Bargeway - Home at Last Humane Society is holding a Bingo fundraiser tonight, Nov. 4 at 6 p.m. with a Bow Wow Bingo and Brews. Come on down and get your cards and watch out for the blackout! Freebridge Brewing is taking over the taps.
"We cannot stress enough how grateful we are to all the volunteers who have come out for Clear the Cans events this year," said Steve Drynan, Executive Director of Home at Last Humane Society. "We need our entire community to come together to help keep this shelter funded and provide high-quality animal management services to our region."
Not one but two perpetrators were caught on video cameras stealing aluminum cans and bottles at Home At Last humane society on May 25, and the tapes have been handed over to The Dalles Police Department, according to police reports.
