From 1,800 firefighters to showers, kitchens, medics and mobile bunkhouses, the Grasshopper Fire camp operates like a small city — one built to move overnight.

In grand tradition, Mt. Hood Meadows held its 2023 Pond Skim contest where water from the snow melt is collected at the bottom of the hill and snowboarders and skiers attempt to hydroplane across the pond after a quick run down the hill.
