Pond Skimmers at Meadows crash, burn, enjoy 64 degree day
CCCNews’ trail buddy Emily Peterson hit the hills at Mt. Hood Meadows today, April 29, to take in all the action as the ski hill is closing for the season.
And in grand tradition, Meadows held its 2023 Pond Skim contest where water from the snow melt is collected at the bottom of the hill and snowboarders and skiers attempt to hydroplane across the pond after a quick run down the hill. There was some success today and some ears filled with water.
