The Starlight Parade illuminated the streets of our charming town last night, ushering in the holiday spirit with a dazzling display of Christmas floats. The community came together to celebrate the festive season, and the parade was a radiant testament to the creativity and enthusiasm of local participants.
The Dalles Starlight Parade and Tree Lighting returns on November 24th to kick off the Holiday season with a burst of Christmas magic. Join us at 6:00 PM on our regular parade route in The Dalles for a dazzling parade featuring festive floats, marching bands, and a visit from Santa Claus. Afterward, head to The Dalles Chamber to witness the Tree Lighting Ceremony, filling the heart of the city with warmth and joy.
Let The Holidays Begin - Northern Wasco People’s Utility District crews were out on Monday, Nov. 22, attaching trees to light poles in downtown The Dalles. We’re in deep now. D21 students have the week off and Dufur finishes off this afternoon. That leaves a lot of time to catch that turkey before Thursday. And good news, forecasters are calling for partially sunny skies the next two days.
The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce will host the Veterans Day Parade and Starlight Parade with Community Tree Lighting for 2021.
The black line on this map shows where floats will be parked this evening during the Starlight Parade. Parade-goers will be able to drive in the right-hand lane and view the floats, which will be parked along the left side of the street. Get your hot chocolate and marshmallows ready. There are 26 floats entered in this year’s parade.
The Parade must go on! The Starlight Parade will look a little different this year with a little role reversal. Floats will be parked on 3rd street and the public will drive past to view the decorated floats.
