Columbia Gorge business owners and managers will have a rare opportunity Wednesday, July 12, 2023 to learn how to compete in the public contracting world when “Connect2Oregon” comes to The Dalles.

Columbia Gorge Community College distributed 75 Dell laptops to 10 public libraries in the college’s service area thanks to funding from the US Department of Agriculture Rural Development.

Columbia Gorge Community College celebrated Native American Heritage Month with eight-time Grammy Award nominees the Black Lodge Singers at the Fort Dalles Readiness Center, in The Dalles, OR on November 17th. Plus other ways to celebrate Native American Heritage in the Gorge this month.

Columbia Gorge Community College has a new club for students interested in social equality: the EQUAL Club.

The college awarded 195 certificates and degrees this year. Approximately 70 graduates participated in the ceremony, held in the outdoor amphitheatre on The Dalles Campus.

“This would be a commercial facility,” said Dan Spatz, Capitol Project Director for Columbia Community College. “Such a facility would provide an essential service for test runs and small batches for mid- and large-sized brewers. In concert with the AA in Food Science & Fermentation, this facility could also provide students with valuable and necessary hands-on experience.”

A collaboration with Portland-based artist Shelly Durica-Laiche and a group of metal fabrication students at Columbia Gorge Community College has paid off in a dynamic new display on the corner of 4th and Washington streets in The Dalles.

Excelencia in Education, a national organization whose mission is to accelerate Latino student success in higher education, has announced that Dr. Marta Yera Cronin, president of Columbia Gorge Community College, has chosen to be part of Presidents for Latino Student Success and the Excelencia in Action network.
