Starting in January 2024, NorthShore Medical Group (NSMG) will become a part of One Community Health (OCH), with the goal of improving convenience and expanding services. The partnership also aims to enhance healthcare accessibility for residents in Washington while ensuring continuity of care for an estimated 41,000 patients.
On December 14th, The Next Door partnered with One Community Health and the United Territories of Pacific Islanders Alliance - Portland Chapter to hold a flu, covid, and mpox vaccine clinic geared towards serving the LGBTQIA2S+ community and Queer and Trans Pacific Islanders at the First Methodist Church in The Dalles.
For the past 36 years, One Community Health (OCH) has delivered medical and outreach services to growers and seasonal farmworkers during sweet cherry harvest. This year is no exception, with OCH staff hoping to reach over 3,000 farmworkers.
On June 1st, 2022 Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and the Oregon Primary Care Association, One Community Health (OCH) opened two Test-to-Treat Centers at OCH clinics in Hood River and The Dalles. These centers are “one-stop shops” for COVID services such as rapid diagnostic testing, evaluations, and administering of anti-viral treatments such as Paxlovid and Molnupiravir on site.
The Navigation Center will serve as a comprehensive resource center for low-income community members and those experiencing houselessness in the Mid-Columbia region and become the new permanent location of The Dalles tiny home shelters.
Several local clinics are teaming up to give children a healthy head start for the school year with checkups, immunization, even a free backpack with school supplies.
“I’ve always loved helping others that have experienced barriers that my family has struggled with in the past,” said Lissette Rivera. She is a Community Health Worker with Bridges to Health. All CHWs within the Bridge. She helps clients with anything from making a dental appointment to accessing food, transportation, or housing.
