Gorge Technology Alliance Honors Tech Leaders and STEM Educator of the Year

The Gorge Technology Alliance (GTA) held its eleventh annual awards program on December 12, 2023, recognizing the Tech Leader and STEM Educator of the Year and honoring all finalists for the two awards. Steve Olson and Jordan Holt, founders of SightLine Applications, were honored as the TechLeaders of the Year.

Columbia Gorge Education District Receives $200K Grant to Diversify Access to Career Technology Education

Across the state and in the Columbia Gorge, boys outnumber girls roughly three to one in engineering-related courses. Students of color are similarly underrepresented in those courses. Now over $200,000 of investment is headed to Hood River County and South Wasco County school districts in the Gorge to diversify access to engineering, computer science, and advanced manufacturing courses.
