By Tom Peterson

The Dalles, Ore., May 31, 2024 — Graduating seniors of The Dalles High School returned to their seminal beginnings this morning, returning to their elementary schools and walking the halls to the cheers of elementary students.

Handshakes and smiles were all around as parents clicked photographs and grabbed videos. Teachers were visibly proud, seeing the students they mentored reaching their goal of graduating High School.

It is hard to believe they just left the school seven years ago.

Students at the elementary held signs such as “You Did It!” and “Welcome Backl” as the robe-clad scholars walked the halls at Dry Hollow in colors of black and crimson at the Elementary at 9:30 a.m.

The official graduation for TDHS will be held at Amaton Field on Saturday, June 1 at 10:30 a.m.

Graduates of Innovations Academy are set to walk tonight at the former Wahtonka High School tonight, May 31 at 6 p.m.
