The Dalles, Ore., May 22, 2026 — The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce that registration is now open for the 2026 Fourth of July Parade in downtown The Dalles.

As our community joins the nation in celebrating America’s historic 250th anniversary celebrations, the Chamber encourages community members, businesses, organizations, schools, clubs, nonprofits, and families to participate in this special event.

Due to rising event and operational costs, a modest $15 parade entry fee will be introduced for 2026 to help support the continued success, safety, and sustainability of the parade. We sincerely appreciate the community’s understanding and continued support as we work to keep this patriotic hometown tradition thriving for years to come.

Additional event details, parade applications, and participation information can be found through

The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce website.

To register visit www.TheDallesChamber.com or swing in at the Chamber Office @ 404 W 2nd St. The Dalles for a paper application.

For questions regarding parade participation or sponsorship opportunities, please contact: Bobby Oswalt (Events Administrator) @ (541) 296-2231 | Events@TheDallesChamber.com

City of The Dalles

The City of The Dalles, Oregon, is situated in the north-central part of the state on the Columbia River, the nation's second largest river. It is the county seat and the largest community in Wasco County. The Dalles is one of Oregon's most historical cities and was known earlier in its history as the town at the end of the Oregon Trail. The city was first incorporated by the Oregon Territorial Government in 1857 as “Dalles City” and was made the county seat shortly thereafter.
