The 42nd Northwest Cherry Festival Celebrates "Homegrown Happiness" in The Dalles

The annual Northwest Cherry Festival is set to take place in The Dalles, Oregon, from Friday, April 21st through Sunday, April 23rd, 2023 This year's festival, is themed "Homegrown Happiness."

“Think back to a simpler time when family, friends, and home were the cornerstones of our lives. “Homegrown Happiness” can mean something different for everyone. Think sock hops, rock n’ roll, poodle skirts, and leather jackets!” read the press release from The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce.

The festival's schedule includes a carnival by Rainier Amusements, a parade, Teddy Bear Run, ABATE Poker Run, Community Fair, Little Royals Contest, Cherry Trail, Pie Eating Contest, and much more.

The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce is encouraging businesses to become Sweetheart Sponsors for the Cherry Festival. Applications for the parade, sponsorship, vendor market, Little Royals Contest, and other festival events are available online at NorthwestCherryFestival.com, or in person at The Dalles Chamber office Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
