The Dalles Chamber names 2026-27 board, executive committee

THE DALLES, Ore., July 1, 2026 — The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce has announced its 2026-27 Board of Directors and Executive Committee following approval of the Chamber membership and the election of officers by the newly seated board.
The Chamber's Executive Committee for the coming year includes:
Chair: Darcy Long, Empower Financial
Secretary: Nikki Lucas, owner/operator, SHE FIRE Inc.
Treasurer: Shannon Wilkinson, assistant vice president and branch manager, WaFd Bank
Three new members have joined the Board of Directors.
Nikki Lucas is the owner/operator of SHE FIRE Inc., a locally owned, woman-owned mobile fire protection company serving businesses throughout the Columbia Gorge. She brings entrepreneurial experience, a commitment to customer service and a passion for helping businesses protect their employees and property.
Shannon Wilkinson serves as assistant vice president and branch manager of WaFd Bank in The Dalles. She brings experience in community banking and a longstanding commitment to supporting local businesses and building community relationships.
Gary Francis, owner/operator of Prints Charming Repair, joins the board with years of business management experience and a background in printing, apparel, signage, engraving and technology services.
Returning members of the Board of Directors are Monica McLaughlin of Among the Trees Botanical Lavender Farm, Sara Hearn of Fairfield Inn & Suites, Daniel Williams of Williams Woodworking, Carmen Myers of Columbia Bank and Jim Mortenson of Mortenson Custom Construction.
The board represents businesses and organizations from banking, finance, hospitality, construction, manufacturing, retail, restaurants, entrepreneurship and professional services. Chamber officials said the board will continue guiding the organization's efforts to support local businesses, strengthen the regional economy, promote tourism and enhance quality of life throughout the community.
