The Dalles, Ore., May 13, 2025 — The City of The Dalles will conduct a test of the emergency siren located at City Hall at noon on Wednesday, May 14.

The test is part of a routine safety check and will involve a single sounding of the siren.

In the event of a real emergency, the siren would sound multiple times. Residents are reminded that if the siren continues, they should tune in to a local radio station for further instructions.

The city encourages the public not to be alarmed during the test. The siren is one of several tools used to alert the community in the case of disasters or urgent public safety situations.
