Projects keep pumping and sucking in TD

Crews had dug a massive hole in First Street just west of the Union Street Underpass this morning, Tuesday, May 4. They are repairing a leak in a pipe for The Dalles Irrigation District. The road was closed to through traffic as the work was being done. Crews expected it could take as long as two days to complete the job. The orange truck seen here creates incredible suction and is able to pull the dirt and water out around the pipe, a huge upgrade from the old reliable shovel in matters of efficiency.
