The Dalles Overground and The Granada Theater Present Spooktober 2025!

The Dalles, Ore., Sept. 30, 2025 — The Dalles Overground is proud to present the first annual Spooktober Film Festival at The Granada Theater. In celebration of all things spooky, we have selected 9 feature films and a series of animated shorts that will be screening at The Granada Theater throughout the month of October.

The films were curated by Scenic Design / FX Artist / Comic Book Artist Christopher Herndon and Production Designer / Art Director Shayna Rae, both residents of The Dalles.

Daily tickets will be $10, except for two family-friendly films that will be free to the public. A full festival ticket is available for $65, which will grant access to all events.

● Saturday, Oct 25th - Halloweentown - Free - Show 2:00 p.m.

● Saturday, Oct 25th - Nosferatu 1922 - Free - Show 7:00 p.m.

○ This performance will include a live organist.

About The Dalles Overground: The Dalles Overground (“TDO”) is an all-volunteer nonprofit founded in 2024. Its mission is to bring original arts and culture to The Dalles, Oregon, and facilitate, promote, and encourage community, diversity, and inclusiveness through artistic platforms.

TDO has hosted performances by internationally renowned country recording artist Margo Cilker and poet, writer, and musician Forrest VanTuyl. TDO has partnered with Wasco Cultural Trust, Chenowith Elementary School, the Eagle Quest Drum Group, and the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center to host two performances by Charles Wood III, a Walla Walla/Cree Native, who is a composer, singer, and performer of Cree Style Round Dance and Pow Wow music. Recently, TDO coordinated a screening of a film by Edward Pack Davee that was accompanied by a performance by composer and internationally acclaimed electronic musician Patricia Wolf.

TDO is actively working on several collaborative art and cultural projects and events to debut this year and recently announced its first annual Hoot Music Festival, March 6-8, 2026.
