About the show:

A tender-rock troubadour with a country songbird heart, Jacob Westfall brings powerhouse vocals, heartfelt lyrics, and a one-man-band presence that fills the whole lawn. Raised in Nashville and now rooted in Oregon, his music blends the soul of Chris Stapleton, the storytelling of Zach Bryan, and the anthemic pull of Mumford & Sons. Fresh off his new album The Road That Leads to You, Westfall’s set ranges from intimate acoustic ballads to foot-stomping crowd favorites—all delivered with undeniable charisma and heart.

This ghost story, while not gory, will include intense moments of suspense utilizing lighting, sound and fog.

Please also be aware that this production will feature sequences of flashing lights.

Run Time: Approximately 2 hours with a 20-minute intermission

Enter the chilling world of The Woman in Black, a ghost story that will leave you breathless and on the edge of your seat. Arthur Kipps, a man forever haunted by a horrifying encounter, hires a young actor to help him retell the events that shattered his life. Together, they bring to life his time in a remote, fog-shrouded English village, where the desolate streets and creaking manor conceal a shadowy figure, the Woman in Black. Her vengeful spirit seems to follow everyone who comes near, and as Kipps recounts the story, the two men (and the audience) are drawn into a web of supernatural dread where the line between the living and the dead grows terrifyingly thin.

Every flicker of light, every whisper of wind, and every haunting sound effect becomes a character in its own right, amplifying the suspense and pulling you deeper into the story. The Woman in Black is not just a play; it is a masterclass in tension and fear, an immersive theatrical experience where terror lurks in every shadow and even the smallest noise could herald something sinister. By the time the show ends, the chilling echo of the ghostly presence will stay with you long after you leave the theater.

ANTONYMS

Antonyms play a blend of alt-country and indie rock. Their music is the main songwriting outlet for Hood River singer and guitarist Doug Stepina (Greenneck Daredevils, Bisti). Formed in Hood River in 2015 with Tim Decker (guitar, vocals) and Dustin Nilsen (bass), Antonyms has played frequently throughout the Gorge and Portland for just over 10 years. After a hiatus from 2019 to 2022, Antonyms reformed with Joe Siliman on drums (Stepina and Siliman also play in longtime Gorge country mainstays Greenneck Daredevils). Though most of their sets contain original songs, they weave in eclectic covers from Grateful Dead, Ween, The Smiths, Neko Case, Ryan Adams, among others. This is the first stop for Antonyms at Trout Lake Hall, but Stepina and Siliman have had multiple prior stops at TLH with Greenneck. Stepina has also played the Hall as a solo artist and Siliman is a resident sound engineer at TLH.

RATTLIN" BONES

Folkrock Bluesgrass band with original compositions infused with passion. Their diverse sound features acoustic guitar, dobro, mandolin, electric bass, and percussion, creating a vibrant musical tapestry with a captivating dynamic range.
